Nevada Aerial is the professional aviation instruction and aerial imaging services of Richard Brong. Richard has lived in Nevada since 1996 and has a unique professional background in education, aviation, and aeronautical science.
Richard has been enamored with all things aviation since he was a young child in Washington State. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Education in 2001 from the University of Nevada, Reno. Richard trained as a pilot here in Reno and earned his wings in 2006 and has added ratings since - all locally. Later, in 2012, he earned his Master of Aeronautical Science with a specialization in Educational Technology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Richard has volunteered with various organizations such as the Civil Air Patrol where he served for four years and held the role of Deputy Commander for Senior Members (adults), aircraft manager, and aerospace education officer. Service in aviation is not unique for Richard in his volunteer role as a FAA Safety Team member. He also serves on the Reno-Tahoe Airport Noise Advisory Panel to help keep general aviation integrated into our local community. He is an aircraft owner (Piper PA-38). Richard likes to spend time with his wife, two adult kids, and is an avid runner and nature lover. Professional affiliations include the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the National Association of Flight Instructors, the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators, and the Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team.
